چکیده

Background: Spleen plays a role in human immune system as well recycling and filtering blood. The aging spleen is associated with fibrosis impaired system, increasing individual vulnerability to getting infections. Regular physical activity essential maintain enhance body fitness, endurance, system. Objective: This study aimed investigate the effects of mild moderate-intensity treadmill exercise on by examining number macrophages d-Galactose-induced rat models. Methods: Twenty-four male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: G1 (control group), G2 (d‐Galactose, no exercise), G3 low-intensity G4 exercise). d-Galactose was administered intraperitoneally day 0 given for weeks following modified Brown et al. (2007) protocol. Spleens histologically processed stained picrosirius red against CD68+ antibody. Percentage fraction area macrophage cell count obtained using ImageJ, data analyzed statistically SPSS software. Results: did not show any differences weight, length, width among groups (P > 0.05). administration causes an increased macrophages. Low could lower percentages area. However, effective lowering number. Conclusion: Moderate-intensity induced d-Galactose.

P 36: Protective Effects of Crocin on D-Galactose Induced Aging Model in Human Neuroblastoma Cells

Introduction: D-galactose (D-gal) is well known as an appropriate agent to induced aging effects in the in vivo and in vitro models. In the present study, we selected crocin, the main constituent of Crocus sativus L. (Saffron), against D-gal cytotoxicity in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells. Materials and Methods:  Cells were pretreated with crocin (25-500 µM) for 24 h and then expos...

Protective effect of metformin on D-galactose-induced aging model in mice

Objective(s): Metformin (Met), an antidiabetic biguanide, reduces hyperglycemia via improving glucose utilization and reducing the gluconeogenesis. Met has been shown to exert neuroprotective, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The present study investigated the possible effect of Met on the D-galactose (D-gal)-induced aging in mice. Materials and Methods: Met (1 and 10 mg/kg/p.o.), ...

Effects of Dimethylaminoethanol and Compound Amino Acid on D-Galactose Induced Skin Aging Model of Rat

A lasting dream of human beings is to reverse or postpone aging. In this study, dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) and compound amino acid (AA) in Mesotherapy were investigated for their potential antiaging effects on D-galactose induced aging skin. At 18 days after D-gal induction, each rat was treated with intradermal microinjection of saline, AA, 0.1% DMAE, 0.2% DMAE, 0.1% DMAE + AA, or 0.2% DMAE +...

Memory enhancement and protective effects of crocin against D-galactose aging model in the hippocampus of Wistar rats

Objective(s): The neurodegeneration and loss of memory function are common consequences of aging. Medicinal plants have potent protective effects against chronic neurodegenerative diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the beneficial effects and molecular mechanisms of crocin on brain function in D-galactose (D-gal)-induced aging model in rats. Materials and Methods: Male Wistar rat...
